29/12/08 1.5k warm-up stretches drills x 2 sets 6 x striding 2 x 200 @ 34s-pace, rest 200m jog back to start line. 1 x 800 @ race-pace, 1:08/400m 1st lap - 1:07 2nd lap - 1:08 2k cool-down stretches
31/12/08 (last workout of the year!) 1.5k warm-up stretches drills x 2 sets 6 x striding 4x400 and 2x300, 1:06pace for first 400, 1:04pace for second 400, repeat. last 300 at 45s pace. 1-lap recovery jog 1st 400 - 1:06 2nd 400 - 1:04 3rd 400 - 1:06 4th 400 - 1:06 5th 300 - 0:50 6th 300 - 0:45 2.3k cool-down stretches
notes: very fast paced workout. died on the 4th 400 - lactate beginning to generate faster than body can break down. switched to 300s, or else the pace would have been destroyed. good end to a year.
